For four days, from 25th to 28th March, Verona will be the world wine capital, the focus of everything from enology to eno-technology, thanks to Vinitaly and the concurrent Enolitech event.
In short, a not-to-be-missed event for all major Italian and foreign producers of both wine and the technologies for its processing, bottling and packaging. Included in the latter is Sacmi Pakim, which will be making the most of the opportunities presented by this 15th edition of the fair to present two innovative bag-in-box fillers that, like the rest of the product range, ensure complete product integrity.

The first gem on display at the fair, LINEAR, a machine designed to produce “Bag in Box” packages, is characterised by optimum preservation of the product, not just wine but also food oils (Vinitaly and Enolitech in fact will be held concurrently with Sol, the international extra virgin olive oil fair), fruit juices, concentrates, detergents and so on. This ultra-clean model – the product never comes into contact with air during the packaging phase – boasts outstanding output rates of up to 820 pieces per hour in the 1.5 litre format.

From advanced packaging systems, then, to solutions for filling, another delicate phase in the wine production process to which Sacmi dedicates FILLBAG, a semiautomatic machine that fills the floppy plastic recipients used in bag-in-box packages. Made entirely of stainless steel as per strict food industry regulations, FILLBAG is equipped with a flowmeter and an advanced PLC control panel for accurate management of all functions. FILLBAG is ideal for sizes from 1.5 to 20 litres and boasts output rates of 400 pieces an hour in the 3 litre format.
