Sacmi at Plastindia 2012

All-new CCM series set to enhance productivity and energy saving even further

Plastindia 2012 - the main South-East Asian event dedicated to the plastics processing industry, due to take place in the Indian capital from 1st to 6th February 2012 - is getting ready to swing open its doors. With the slogan “The future is here”, the event constitutes a not-to-be-missed appointment for SACMI companies specialising in the production and design of presses for both the compression and injection moulding of plastics.

From its 200 m2 area (Hall 11, stand 11B30/11C30), SACMI will be showcasing the very best from its range starting with the technological gem that is the CCM, the embodiment of the productivity, flexibility and energy saving that have been the distinctive features of “continuous compression moulding” from the very first model to the very latest one to exit Sacmi’s R&D labs, the CCM 48SB. The key advantages of this cap-making machine lie in productivity and consumption-optimising devices that use lean technology, resulting in further enhancement of the already more-than-satisfactory performance of the previous series. At present the world’s most competitive cap manufacturing solution, the CCM can operate with cycle times of less than 2 seconds.

At Delhi we’ll be exhibiting a working version of the smallest CCM in the series, the CCM 24-cavity. This machine has achieved considerable success in recent years, particularly in light of the more recent installations in India and especially in the diversified and fragmented 1-piece cap market for bottled water, juices and tea.
This will be a key showcase, then, for Sacmi: indeed, India, on its own, promises to see the number of plastic processing machines rise from the current 69,000 to 150,000 by the year 2020.

In the world of PET preforms, Sacmi is today the only market leader able to propose two alternative technologies - injection and compression.

Plant flexiblity with fast format changeover, ergonomic engineering solutions, energy savings & compact footprint, worldwide sales and after-sales network - all these goals are achieved with the new IPS Injection Preform Systems.
Not far beyond its borders, Asia remains an essential outlet market for the Group’s technological solutions, one that continues to boast, despite the sluggishness of the international economy, signs of strong dynamism and often double-figure growth rates.
