Sacmi takes centre-stage at Upakovka 2012

Entire Beverage Division and chocolate giant Carle&Montanari-OPM head for Russia

Everything is ready for the 20th edition of Upakovka, the most important Russian packaging/wrapping technology event, to be held in Moscow from 24th to 27th January. Sacmi will be there in force with a stand hosting the main Group brands specialising in the development of machines and complete plants for the beverage industry.

United as a single Division for some time now, Sacmi Imola, Sacmi Filling, Sacmi Verona and Sacmi Packaging act as a sole provider to the international drinks industry, covering everything from raw materials to the finished bottle; this is a key point on a market like the Russian one, characterised, even during this particularly difficult time for the international economy, by the technological modernisation of production plants, a change accompanied and driven by the continuous expansion of domestic demand.

The Russian market is proving to be particularly interesting for several Sacmi Beverage technologies, especially the hot-filling system with integrated-band closures made with the CCM range. From the advantages of continuous compression moulding, then, to those offered for the other stages of the industrial beverage process: the innovative SBF stretch blow moulders constitute the world’s most competitive system for progressing from the raw material to the finished PET bottle. Then, of course, there are pre-forms, where Sacmi has perfected PAM (pre-form advanced moulding), a cutting-edge system constituting part of the compression process that has won far-reaching market acknowledgement in recent years. No less important are the labelling machines made by Sacmi Verona: the OPERA series has shown the market all the advantages of RFST (roll fed sleeve technology), which allows heat-shrunk labels to be applied directly from the roll of film.

At Upakovka these comprehensive, smoothly integrated beverage solutions – on show in Hall 2.1 at stand 21C21 – will be flanked by chocolate-making technology developed by Carle&Montanari-OPM. The outcome of an alliance between Sacmi and IMA, this new giant of the chocolate industry will be at Upakovka – Hall 2.2, stand 22C03 – to showcase all its very latest for the chocolate and confectionery industry, with integrated “turnkey” solutions that cover everything from cocoa processing to chocolate production and modelling, individual wrapping and the primary/secondary wrapping of chocolate, biscuits, sweets, bakery products and jellies.
Moreover, Carle & Montanari Wrapping Systems will also be at its customers’ disposal at the stand of the company’s Russian representative (Hall 2.2, Stand B04).
